Regardless of which procedure you are having performed, it is important to be fully prepared before you arrive for your appointment. Properly preparing for the procedure ensures that our physicians can provide you with the highest quality examination possible. An incomplete or poor prep can cause your procedure to be rescheduled. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911.

Important information: If you are scheduled for a procedure and take medication for diabetes or weight loss known as GLP-1 agonist (example: Ozempic, Weygovy, Rybelsus, Saxenda, Victoza, Byetta, Trulicity, Mounjaro, Bydureon) or an SGLT-2 Inhibitor (Invokana, Farxiga, Jardiance, Steglatro), please speak to someone on our team about holding this medication prior to your procedure.

GI Procedure Prep Instructions:

Important: We have several different colonoscopy prep instructions. It is important that you pay close attention to your own prep instructions and check to make sure you are following the instructions recommended by your doctor.

For your convenience, we have provided written prep instructions (in a printable PDF format) for the procedure. You will notice there is more than one kind of prep for this procedure. Please check to make sure you are reading or printing the set of instructions that was prescribed for you. Any prep instructions specific to you and your procedure would have been mailed to you or uploaded to your Patient Portal account.
